Bruce (81) of Texas had his wish granted on 9/26/07. He went to Washington D.C. to visist the war memorial. Bruce is show here with sons William and Russell.

Bruce was drafted in October 1944, the beginning of his junior year in high school in Indiana. He served in Germany with the Army's Field Artillery Company #535. After the war, Bruce was unable to return to high school. He finally received his high school diploma in November, 2003.

Bruce's son William requested the wish. He feels that all World War II veterans show get the chance to see the memorial in Washington D.C. and see how the nation has honored them.
